| 1994-1997 Silver Proof Piedfort One Pound Collection. Containing a series of four silver proof Piedfort one pound coins issued to represent the four constituent parts of the United Kingdom. Commencing in 1994 with a coin for Scotland followed in 1995 with a coin for Wales, 1996 Northern Ireland, and 1997 England. Also with silver Royal Mint medallion. Piedfort coins are struck on thicker than normal blanks and each depicts Raphael Maklouf's portrait of QEII. The coin for Scotalnd shows the familiar lion rampant within a double tressure; the heraldic design for Wales has the dragon passant with wings elevated; the Northern Ireland coin reaches deep into the history of the Province incorporating the beautiful Broighter collar and ornate Celtic cross with a pimpernel lying at its heart. The three lions "passant guardant" are represented in the coin for England. Each coin weighs 19.00 grammes and have a diameter of 22.50 mm struck in Sterling (.925) silver. Issue limit 10,000 (Scotalnd 12,500). Each coin is in a separate perspex protector and contained together in a plush blue Royal Mint presentation case with a Collection COA.
